Save the Dates: Our Festival of Football returns in 2023
We all remember that wonderful weekend back in May, when the sun shone, the coffee machine gurgled, the ice cream melted, and we welcomed hundreds of young people to our Festival of Football.
The good news is that our Festival of Football will be back in 2023, bigger and better than ever.
Save the dates
- Sunday 4th June 2023 (girls teams)
- Saturday 10th June and Sunday 11th June 2023 (all other teams)
We can’t wait and already our heads are buzzing with plans and ideas. However, we can’t deliver this wonderful event without our wonderful members.
Things you can do now
- Add the dates to your diary
- Prepare yourself to volunteer – parking, entrance table, drinks tent, set up (Sat 3rd June and Fri 9th June) and pack away on Sun 11th June
- There will be requests for ice, for raffle prizes, for sponsorship, for silent auction prizes and for hamper items…. it’s all coming back to you now, isn’t it!
What else can we tell you
We will be introducing a Craft Corner for WAHYFC children to sell their crafts. We’re still working out the details, but in effect you can hire half or quarter of a table to sell your home-made gifts. Space is limited so joining together with friends will be a good option.
Team registration will open early next year, for now please save the date.
Our Festival of Football gives our players and their family and friends a great day out. It’s fun day bringing us all together to celebrate our young players and all they have achieved over the 2022/23 season.
